James Edward “Jimmy” Dodds

James Edward “Jimmy” Dodds, 59, of Rockcastle County, formerly of Harveysburg, Ohio, died Sunday, May 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 9, 1965, son of Faye Stewart Dodds and the late Bob Dodds. Jimmy was a U. S. Navy veteran and former truck driver. He enjoyed picking at anyone he could to make them laugh or make them mad. He liked trading knives, cars, trucks, lawnmowers, or anything he could to make a deal. He loved embellishing stories, no matter how embellished they became. Jimmy may have been the most mischievous person you've ever met. He also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his son, Thomas Cody Hendren (Mackenzie); siblings Bobby Dodds, Regina Lewis, his favorite sister Winona “NoNo” Clark (William), Tracy Kidwell (Donnie); as well as friends Rick Lewis, Randy Connell and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In accordance with Jimmy’s wishes, he was cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
