Photo Gallery: Madison County Courthouse renovation dedication

The Madison County Courthouse renovation dedication ceremony was held Friday morning in Richmond. The event celebrated the renovation of the courthouse and the land for which it sits. The current structure was originally completed in 1849 at a cost of $400,000. It was added to the national register of historic places in 1975 because of its architectural and historical significance. The building underwent expansin in 1965 and the current remodel began in 2023 and was completed this month. Photos by Keith Taylor/Citizen Publisher
